The revelation of creativity as a drive for prosperity

This article on the NY Times is interesting. It basically says that professional creative artists livelihoods are better, but the distribution networks which used to bring us products based on their work is decaying in relevance as the VISA-US-Internet, Mobile walled gardens, and so forth make for different distribution systems.

It says a lot more than that, though. You should check it out.
